Course terms
These terms apply when you buy a course or a subscription from the All-Around Legal Academy. Draft of 16 September 2026, not yet in force.
1. Who sells
The courses are provided by SIA "DDA Projects", registration No. 40203546787, Elizabetes iela 19-7, Rīga, LV-1010, Latvia ("the Academy"). Contact: academy@all-aroundlegal.com.
Payment runs through Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record: Gumroad charges you, calculates and collects VAT or sales tax, and issues the receipt. Gumroad's own terms apply to the payment. These terms govern your access to and use of the courses.
The courses are offered on the website of SIA "DV Tax Consulting" (All-Around Legal), whose practice lead, Dainis Vodolagins, writes and teaches them. SIA "DV Tax Consulting" is not a party to the sale.
2. What you buy
- A course: access to its recorded lessons, written lessons, case file, model memo and quizzes for 12 months from payment.
- Founding membership: access to every course published while the membership runs, renewed each year until you cancel.
- A marked assignment: written feedback from the author on one submitted case assignment.
The courses explain how the rules work. They are not tax or legal advice on your facts, and no adviser–client relationship arises from a purchase.
3. Prices, VAT and payment
Prices on the site are shown in euro before VAT. Gumroad's checkout adds the VAT of your country and shows the tax that applies to you and the total before you pay, and Gumroad's receipt is your invoice. The Academy never sees your card details.
The receipt contains a licence key. The key opens your courses in the learner area at all-aroundlegal.com; keep it private.
4. Your right of withdrawal and refunds
If you buy as a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made at a distance. Access starts when you first open the course in the learner area. Before it opens, the learner area asks you to confirm that you want access to start at once and that you lose the right of withdrawal from that moment; the Academy records your confirmation and its date. Until you give it, the 14-day right applies in full: write to academy@all-aroundlegal.com and the purchase is refunded. [[verify: confirmation of the consent on a durable medium (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 8(7)): the learner area records it and shows it, but sends no email]]
In addition, the Academy refunds a course in full if you ask within 14 days of payment and have opened no more than one lesson. For an annual membership the same applies to the first payment. Write to academy@all-aroundlegal.com with your receipt; Gumroad makes the refund, and the licence key stops working when it does.
5. Subscriptions
A membership renews at the end of each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under "Subscription and invoices" in the learner area; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. You manage or cancel the membership from the link in your Gumroad receipt. The Academy tells members at least 30 days before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Your licence
You may use the materials for your own learning and in your own professional work. You may not share your licence key, record or redistribute the videos, or republish the case files and model memos. A team licence covers the five named people registered under it.
7. Changes to the courses
Tax law changes, and the Academy updates the courses to follow it. Each lesson shows the date on which its law was checked. The Academy may correct or replace lessons during your access period; it will not remove a course you have paid for before your access ends, unless the law makes the course misleading, in which case you receive a pro-rata refund.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, the Academy's liability for any claim connected with a purchase is limited to the price you paid for it.
9. Complaints
Write to academy@all-aroundlegal.com. The Academy replies within 14 days. If the complaint is not resolved, a consumer can apply to the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission (Patērētāju strīdu risināšanas komisija) at the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC), www.ptac.gov.lv, or to the consumer body of their own country.
10. Law
Latvian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence.
11. Privacy
The privacy notice for the Academy explains what personal data the Academy processes and why: privacy notice.
